Strange addictions

i do occasionally worry about how my mind "works", someone on the Retro Gamer message board sort of challenged the other posters to complete a game called Killer Cobra on the Amstrad CPC and i've been playing it on and off for the last couple of days. It's basically a clone of Scramble (and in part of Super Cobra) but with very fast scrolling and some pretty evil level layouts. So far i'm getting to about level 5 before it gives me a kicking; the tanks on the ground start firing air bursts that are quite hard to see at the speed this game moves and explode around the height of the ship, making them hard to avoid. Top score is just over 40,000 but i will admit to "score whoring" to get that...!

So what other news is there...? Well not a lot really, still recovering from the financial destitution that is Christmas and the new year, spending quite a bit of time looking at getting some freelance work doing websites (i'm very cheap if anyone is looking... and not just in the way you're thinking!) and so forth, but what i laughingly call "normal services" should resume shortly. The moving of the blog has made getting new entries up a bit easier, so i might even say stuff occasionally. Erm, like this.
